LEGO Festival of Play

We were completely stoked when we were asked to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the LEGO brick in Australia, and today we’re pleased to announce the LEGO Festival of Play, a nine month integrated campaign encouraging kids and adult fans alike to celebrate through play.

We developed the campaign with our sister PR agency One Green Bean, and you’ll see the Festival of Play brought to life in 2012 through outdoor, print, digital, social media and PR.

Check out our launch video here, and keep up to date at festivalofplay.com – there’s plenty of amazing news to come.

Campari appoints Host to handle American Honey

We’re looking forward to working with American Honey – currently Australia’s fastest growing spirit.

Our first outdoor and digital work launches in late March, and in the meantime you can get into the spirit at their Facebook page.

Beans On Top

Congratulations to our sister PR agency One Green Bean for their double win; taking out AdNews PR Agency of the Year, hot on the tail of their B&T PR Agency of the Year win in December.

Two thumbs up!

The New TV Landscape

This week sees the launch of the second series of 2020 Vision, featuring industry giants Dan Wieden (Wieden+Kennedy), Mark Holden (global strategy director, PHD) and Jonathan Mildenhall (VP of global advertising strategy at The Coca Cola Company), sharing their perspective on the evolution of the TV platform, and the new opportunities it’s providing the advertising and marketing community.

This is work we’ve done for Free TV Australia, under its marketing trade arm Think TV. Head over to thinktv.com.au for the trailer.

Air New Zealand Presents the Kiwi Sceptics.

Only one in five Aussies who say they’d like to go to NZ ever actually make it there, so Host and Air New Zealand Australia set out to make a campaign to lure the other four across.

We found a group of sceptics, people who asserted that New Zealand was definitely not for them, tricked them into travelling across the ditch, surprised them with the holiday of their life, and filmed the results.

Check out the films here.

Patak’s Appoints Host.

We’ve just been appointed as the new agency for Patak’s – the world’s leading Indian home cooking brand.

We’re looking forward to working on a brand with such an authentic heritage. There’s a great story underpinning their product, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Meet The Butt St Choir.

Today we launched ‘The Butt St Choir’, an interactive Christmas card on site at the Host office, featuring 50 of our finest performing Tchaikovsky’s ‘Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy’.

Using a multi-touchscreen and some ‘laser beams’, viewers can switch the different vocal parts on and off to orchestrate a unique rendition of the song.

If you can’t get into our office to have a play around yourself, you can watch a video of a special performance.
