We are ten.

This month, we received the first print run of a book we put together to celebrate our first ten years.

We’re really proud – both of the book itself, and the story it tells about how we became the company we are today.

Have a look at the time lapse video below from the shoot – where we staged a garage sale featuring items from some of our most memorable campaigns. Next time you’re in the office, have a read.

Andrew’s World Tour.

At Host we pride ourselves on our people. One of the rewards for being a long term Hostie is a sabbatical with paid time off and budget to go do something they’ve always wanted to do. Andrew recently got back from his trip – here’s what he had to say about the experience.

“Music has always been an important part of my life. From early days singing into my plastic Fisher Price recording machine, to learning piano, trumpet and guitar at school, to a decade with my former band Kid Confucius, music always seemed to find me.

An important factor in writing and recording music is the environment in which they happen. Different environments can inspire different results and sometimes that difference can be golden. Europe was a golden environment for me. Especially since I’ve never made music outside of Australia.

The Europe Sessions was a production of 4 songs. A song in each city. Paris, London, Berlin and Amsterdam. I used state-of-the-art recording studios in each city and was helped by local sound engineers, producers and a host of friends, including piano players, singers, drummers, DJs, guitarists, and avid music lovers.”
